Excitement is building for new electives, sports, and class trips starting in 2022-23.

Summer may just be getting started for our students, but here at CWA the campus is buzzing with activity as we get ready for a new year and new opportunities for our students to enjoy in the fall and beyond. New Experiential Education Trips

Central to the CWA experience for decades are opportunities that take students off campus to encounter new challenges, new cultures, and new ways of thinking about the world we share. We are thrilled to announce new grade-level opportunities for our students beginning next year:

Sixth Grade – New York City in May

  • The focus of this trip is national history and culture. Students will visit Ellis Island, the 9/11 Museum, and the Empire State Building. In addition, they will see a Broadway musical, tour the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and explore Central Park.

Seventh Grade – Washington State Outdoor Education in spring and fall

  • Students learn from nature, develop survival skills, and make historical connections.
    • Fall 2022 – Two nights at Mt. St. Helens Institute
    • Spring 2023 – Backpacking on the Washington Coast

Eighth Grade – Puerto Rico in January

  • During this exciting international opportunity, the focus is on global stewardship, collaboration, and local history. Students will work with community organizations to better understand the impact of extreme weather and will help repair damage to the environment.

It’s an exciting time to be in Middle School at CWA and we look forward to sharing more with you about these experiences in the coming year!
